Species of Predatory Fish and what they respond to
In this post we'll discuss species of predatory fish and with what lure (bait) will they respond.
Let's start with my favorite, the Pike. The Pike is an extremely popular fish to catch due to its powerful bite and power. They can grow huge, around 150 cm (5 feet), and weigh 30 kilos (66 pounds).
Well, Pikes are always hungry so you can catch them with almost everything. But the most common lures used are soft baits and wobblers.
After you cast, you should retreat the line slowly without stopping. If you feel a small jerk you don't panic, but you remain calm and wait to see if the pike attacks powerfully enough.
Another important thing that you must consider is the line itself. The line has to be clear of textile material, and at the end of this line, you should add a fishing wire header.
That's all you need to know about the Pike and how you fish it.

Let's move on to the next predatory fish on our list. The Catfish. Growing even larger than the Pike this species of fish feeds mostly at night. The bait for catching this fish is actually a lot more different from the pike's one. Catfish are more attracted to nightcrawlers, small living bait, and meat.
That's a huge Goonch Catfish caught by the star angler Jeremy Wade. More about him in a future post.
And the last one and probably one of the most popular ones.....Bass! Bass is a predatory fish that can be hooked with a lot of different lures like soft lures, wobblers, frogs, whopper ploppers, etc. It can grow to about 6 kg (13 pounds) and does have a huge mouth.
OK. Those are just 3 species of predatory fish from the thousands of types that exist. But the important thing is that you're ready to go fish some of those incredible monsters.
I hope you enjoyed it, and I'm suggesting to start following the blog for more secret, accurate, and detailed information about fishing!
