Jeremy Wade, the legendary angler

If you don't know Jeremy Wade, well....you should from now on. Jeremy Wade is The Monstrous Fish Expert. Let's dive into his childhood.

Jeremy John Wade was born on 23 March 1956 in Suffolk, UK. At a very young age, Jeremy became interested in fishing.

,, The village where I grew up had a river flowing through it. So it was inevitable, I think, that I should be drawn to it in the same way that people born in sight of Alpine peaks become climbers. My first attempts to catch fish, age 7 or 8, were unsuccessful, but then I had some guidance from a school friend and after my first catch I never looked back. My parents were happy for me to stay out all day and a big part of my fishing was wanting to find new places, a process that has continued to this day."

He finished Bristol University with a degree in zoology and has worked as a secondary school biology teacher.

All of those monsters and many more were caught in his television program,, River Monsters'

The Show started on 5 April 2009 and ended 8 years later on 28 May 2017. River Monsters has over 100 episodes that include storyes, mysteries, and adrenaline. The monsters that Jeremy Wade has been able to catch are amazing. Some of those monsters were seen on television for the first time in history. The show was one of the most popular programs in Animal Planet history.

But how did all this come to happen?
After earning enough money, Jeremy decides to make his first trip to India's mountain rivers in 1982.

"I took just £200 to last me three months but I managed to catch some fish such as Himalayan mahseer up to 18 pounds". Upon his return to England, Wade wrote a couple of articles about his experiences in India for a fishing magazine. "Despite the discomfort of traveling at such a basic level, there was a real feeling of achievement and I immediately started saving money to go somewhere else. I wasn't sure where at that point but I knew there must be other exotic fish out there, although probably not as well documented as Mahseer, but possibly even more spectacular."

But the concept of the show came in 2005 when Jeremy had a trip to the Himalayan foothills, where he heard locals talking about people gone missing in the river. And you probably realized why this was

Alright. I've told you what makes this angler so special, but for me, Jeremy Wade was the motivation for my journey into fishing. Just listening to his voice made me forget about every problem and think about fishing. His adventures were the most exciting thing that I've seen on television ever.

So yeah, you should, (to not say you must) watch his show.

That's all about Jeremy Wade here. I hope you enjoyed it, and if you want to be up-to-date with my blog I recommend to sign as a member. It's all free!
